Kiss Your Way to Success

Yes, Kiss your way to success. Before you let your imaginations run wild, let me elaborate. KISS, in this context, stands for:

Knowledge: Acquiring working knowledge, and staying up-to-date on the information pertaining to your field is very important. In this day and age, it only takes a few weeks of ignorance to become obsolete.
Key question to reflect upon: "Do I know what is happening in my field today? What is most likely to happen tomorrow?"

Inspiration: This is anything, or anyone that inspires you to take action. I bundle motivation in this sub-heading because inspiration is probably a powerful, overarching umbrella. If all your attributes make you energy-filled gunpowder, inspiration is the spark that ignites it. Look for it.
Key question to reflect upon: "Where is my inspiration coming from? Do I know my motivations, and limiting beliefs?"

Skill: Skill is the ability you acquire by repeatedly, and reflectively doing something specific. It could be a concrete skill like programming, or painting, or music, or selling. It could also be a soft skill like speaking, or motivating, or managing.
Key question to reflect upon: "What skills are valued most in my role? How much practice do I have in each?"

Self-esteem: This is super important, because lacking this would cover your other attributes in a cold blanket of inaction, and anonymity. How much respect do you have for yourself, really? How confident are you?
Remember, that prudence is important, but usually it is the confident, slightly crazy risk takers who change the world. Modesty, therefore, is best practiced externally but ignored internally.
Key question to reflect upon: "In all things I embark upon, which ones make my palms sweat and which ones get me visibly excited?"

And this, my friends, is one of the several simple models that help us understand how to get ahead in life. Go on. KISS your way to success.
