Arabs and Jews: A speech by late King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia

A fascinating essay, and a moving speech. But, it fell on deafest of ears.

And while we are on that topic, here is an essay on Economist about why America gives unconditional support to Israel.

I guess we should see the middle-eastern crisis and the recent unfortunate events of West Asia in the right context.

  2. The present King Abdullah is the first Abdullah to be king of Saudi Arabia. There never has been a king named Abdullah before in Saudi Arabia. It starts from Abdulaziz then, Saud, Faisal, Khalid, Fahad and Abdullah, who is still alive.

The one being referred to in the article is the father of the late King Hussain of Jordan. Now I don't know if his father was king of Jordan or not. I always thought in Jordan, the line starts with Faisal and then it was Hussain. But apparently there was an Abdullah too.

Anyways, I saw your blog listed on the Indian Muslim Bloggers list and thought I'd take a look.
